Collective Mining Ltd. (NYSE: CNL; TSX: CNL) has announced the discovery of a mineralized gold-copper porphyry system at its San Antonio Project in Caldas, Colombia. Drill hole SAC-11, targeting the northern section of the Pound target, intersected 290.20 metres grading 0.58 g/t gold, 0.17% copper, 3 g/t silver, and 70 ppm molybdenum, equivalent to 0.84 g/t gold equivalent.
The mineralization consists of a porphyry-style vein stockwork intruding metagabbro country rock. Notably, the intercept includes two higher-grade zones:
According to Richard Tosdal, Special Advisor to the Company and a renowned porphyry expert, the high density of mineralized stockwork veins suggests proximity to the core of a potential high-grade porphyry system.
In response to these encouraging results, Collective is mobilizing two drill rigs to the Pound target to immediately follow up on SAC-11. The San Antonio Project hosts a 2.5-kilometer-long mineralized corridor with four drill-ready porphyry targets. The Company plans to aggressively test each of these throughout the remainder of 2025.
“Surface prospecting and drilling have significantly increased the potential for San Antonio to host a copper-gold-rich porphyry system. Our technical team believes we are close to the porphyry source, and now is the time to ramp up exploration efforts,” said Ari Sussman, Executive Chairman of Collective Mining.
Collective currently has nine drill rigs operating as part of its fully funded 70,000-metre drill program for 2025—two rigs at San Antonio and seven at the nearby Guayabales Project, which is also located near the multi-million-ounce Marmato Mine. Two additional deep-capacity rigs will soon begin testing the high-grade Ramp Zone at the base of the Apollo system in early Q3 2025.
The San Antonio Project benefits from excellent infrastructure, being located adjacent to the Pan American Highway and hydroelectric power lines, enhancing its development potential.
