Argenta Silver Corp. has successfully completed Phase 1 of its 2025 exploration program at the El Quevar silver project in Salta Province, Argentina. The program focused on high-priority targets identified through advanced mapping and geophysical surveys, reinforcing the company’s strategic push to unlock value in one of Argentina’s most prospective silver districts.
According to the company’s latest press release, Phase 1 consisted of geological mapping, surface sampling, and trenching over previously underexplored zones surrounding the main Yaxtché deposit. These efforts have led to the identification of multiple new vein systems and expanded the known mineralized footprint of the property.
“The results of Phase 1 are very encouraging and support our belief that El Quevar has significant potential beyond the Yaxtché resource,” said Brian McKinley, President and CEO of Argenta Silver. “We are particularly excited about the new discoveries at the East Quevar and Aguas Negras zones, which will be the focus of follow-up drilling in Phase 2.”
Located in the prolific Andes mineral belt, the El Quevar project boasts strong geological potential and favorable infrastructure. Argenta Silver’s renewed exploration campaign marks a key milestone in its goal to define additional high-grade silver resources across the 57,000-hectare property.
The company plans to initiate Phase 2 in Q3 2025, which will include up to 5,000 meters of diamond drilling. The drill program is designed to test the continuity and grade of the new targets identified in Phase 1, particularly those showing promising silver-lead-zinc anomalies.
Argenta Silver continues to strengthen its position in South America’s emerging silver sector. With silver prices trending upwards amid rising industrial demand and global macroeconomic uncertainty, the company views El Quevar as a cornerstone asset for long-term growth.
“We remain committed to responsible exploration and building strong local partnerships in Salta,” added McKinley. “Our team is energized by the Phase 1 results and looks forward to advancing El Quevar into the next phase of discovery.”
