Battery Age Minerals (ASX:BM8) identifies large gold and silver anomalies at El Aguila Project in Argentina, with maiden drilling set for 2025.

Battery Age Minerals (ASX: BM8) has announced the discovery of multiple kilometre-scale gold and silver anomalies at its El Aguila Project, following an extensive soil sampling program designed to advance exploration in Argentina’s Santa Cruz Province.

The program, which analyzed 838 soil samples, delivered peak results of 134 parts per billion (ppb) gold and 36.5 parts per million (ppm) silver, with additional pathfinder support of up to 428 ppm. These results will underpin the next phase of exploration, including an environmental impact assessment and a maiden drilling campaign expected later this year. Baseline studies have already been completed.

The review and targeting process was led by UK-based Campbell & Walker Geophysics, integrating historical magnetic and induced polarization survey data. Early findings show that current anomalies align with historical rock chip assays that previously returned grades as high as 174.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 4.739 g/t silver. Historical drilling has also confirmed mineralization, including 0.55m at 40.55 g/t gold and 7m at 2.48 g/t gold, with high-grade intervals up to 1.7m at 9.02 g/t gold.

CEO Highlights Exploration Breakthroughs

Battery Age Minerals CEO Nigel Broomham emphasized that recent large-scale field programs have significantly expanded the company’s understanding of the mineral system at El Aguila.

“The combination of modern geophysics, detailed mapping, and high-density soil sampling has validated and expanded our target base, particularly around El Aguila Main, South, and the broader structural corridors,” Broomham said.

“Importantly, the petrographic analysis has confirmed free-milling gold and silver minerals, which is a strong positive from a processing and development standpoint. The new data sets not only de-risk the next exploration phase but have added to the pipeline of targets.”

Exploration Resurgence Across Historic Assets

The discoveries at El Aguila come amid a renewed wave of re-exploration across historic and previously producing deposits in the global mining sector. Companies such as Dark Star Minerals (CSE: BATT), Rua Gold (TSX-V: RUA), and Provenance Gold (CSE: PAU) are also targeting projects with proven mineral endowment.

Battery Age Minerals is positioning itself at the forefront of this resurgence, with a strategy aimed at unlocking the next generation of high-value gold and silver resources through modern exploration techniques and targeted development.
