The Government of Santa Cruz has granted provisional environmental approval to Battery Age Ltd. to proceed with its first drilling program at the El Águila Project, targeting high-grade gold and silver mineralization in the Patagonian province.
The authorization follows a technical and environmental review of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR), in full compliance with current mining and environmental regulations.
According to the company’s schedule, drilling activities will commence in November, comprising approximately 2,000 meters of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling.
The campaign will focus on the Águila Main and Águila South zones, where sub-vertical quartz and sulfide veins have been identified, with surface assays returning up to 174.6 g/t gold and 4,739 g/t silver.
Battery Age also plans to expand exploration into the Verbena and San Cristóbal sectors, where coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies indicate additional mineral potential.
The company’s exploration model integrates soil geochemistry—including more than 2,200 historical and recent samples—with ground magnetometry (327 line-kilometers) and gradient IP/resistivity surveys (58 km).
This multidisciplinary approach has allowed Battery Age to define a robust portfolio of targets across the project’s 91 km² land package.
The program will be carried out with local contractors and logistical support, under the continuous technical supervision of the provincial mining authority.
Battery Age Ltd. emphasized that all activities will adhere to strict environmental protection measures and international health and safety standards throughout the exploration process.
