Lodestar Minerals has appointed existing Executive Director and Head of Exploration Coraline Blaud as its new Chief Executive Officer, as the company looks to advance its next phase of discovery and growth across Australia, Chile and the United States.
The company said Blaud’s appointment comes at a pivotal stage, as Lodestar continues to push forward with multiple exploration campaigns across its international project portfolio.
Blaud has played a key role in supporting the company’s recent exploration momentum, including drilling programs in Chile, the delivery of what Lodestar described as “strong, early results” from the Virgin Mountain Heavy Rare Earths Project in Arizona, and efforts to streamline resource estimation at the Neds Creek Gold Project in Western Australia.
Lodestar Chairman Ross Taylor said Blaud has proven herself as a discovery-focused leader who has been central to the company’s exploration progress.
“This is the right time to elevate Coraline to CEO,” Taylor said.
“From our emerging copper opportunity in Chile to the strong early results at Virgin Mountain in the US to the mid-Western Australian gold project, she has adeptly demonstrated the ability to identify and advance high-quality projects and put the teams in place to deliver.
“We have the projects, we have the momentum, and we now have the leadership in place to fully capitalise on the opportunity ahead.”
The appointment follows Lodestar’s recent expansion of its exploration team. The company recently brought in Robin Wilson and Ross Chandler as consultants, while also naming Felipe Jiménez as Exploration Manager for Chile.
Lodestar Minerals is a gold and base metals explorer focused on advancing a portfolio of assets in Australia, Chile and the US.
