Unico Silver has reported shallow oxide mineralisation at the Breccia Puntudo prospect within its Joaquin Project in Argentina, as the company continues to advance a major drilling campaign focused on resource expansion and new discoveries.
The ongoing program across Joaquin totals 30,000 metres, with assay results now returned from 56 holes covering 7,823 metres. Current drilling has focused on Breccia Puntudo, as well as infill and step-out drilling at La Negra SE and La Morocha SE.
Among the standout results from Breccia Puntudo, Unico reported:
The company said these results highlight the potential of the prospect, where two drill rigs are currently operating to support both resource growth and new discoveries along the corridor.
Breccia Puntudo hosts a mineralised trend extending over 3 kilometres of strike and remains only lightly drilled.
At La Negra SE, Unico has completed drilling and reported that mineralisation has now extended beyond the current resource footprint.
Key assay results include:
In addition, hole JDD161-26 returned 27 metres at 162 g/t silver equivalent from 215 metres, including 6.6 metres at 509 g/t from 233.2 metres, making it the deepest hole drilled so far at La Negra SE.
At La Morocha SE, drilling has returned broad silver-gold intercepts, including:
These results further support the growth potential of the broader Joaquin system.
Unico said it expects to deliver an updated resource estimate for the Joaquin Project shortly, which will support a future Prefeasibility Study.
Managing Director Todd Williams said the company’s exploration and development workstreams at Joaquin have made strong progress so far.
“Step-out drilling targeting extensions to the southeast is ongoing, with assays pending for several key holes,” Williams said.
He added that prefeasibility work is also advancing in parallel. Geotechnical samples from the fourth-quarter 2025 drill campaign are currently undergoing laboratory testing, with results expected to support open-pit design parameters by the end of March.
In addition, 14 oxide composites from Joaquin and Cerro León have been sent to Nevada for comminution testing to support front-end flowsheet design.
The company also said that phase two environmental baseline studies are scheduled to begin in April, marking the final field campaign required to support the provincial environmental impact assessment approval process.
With exploration, engineering and environmental work all moving forward, Unico Silver continues to position Joaquin as one of its key silver-gold development assets in Argentina’s Santa Cruz province.
