Kobrea Exploration (CSE: KBX) has announced the start of construction of a drill access road at its El Perdido Project in Argentina, marking a key milestone in the company’s phase-one exploration program.
Once the access work is completed, Kobrea will establish an exploration camp and begin a diamond drilling campaign designed to test the centre of the project’s porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum system. The initial program aims to evaluate areas with the highest density of quartz stockwork veining associated with potassic alteration and inter-mineral hydrothermal breccias.
CEO James Hedalen said the engineered and permitted roads have been designed to safely and efficiently access the El Perdido site.
“The company will provide details of the drill program in the coming weeks,” Hedalen stated.
“Concurrent with road construction, field crews will also commence target development activities at other porphyry prospects across the property.”
The El Perdido Project covers 6,878 hectares and hosts a copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry system that has been defined at surface but has not yet been drilled. The main target spans approximately 2 kilometres by 2 kilometres, characterized by a broad hydrothermal alteration footprint with classic porphyry alteration assemblages.
Kobrea Exploration is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company focused on acquiring and discovering base metal projects with potential for large-scale systems. The company’s work at El Perdido is part of a broader strategy to advance high-impact copper exploration assets across the Americas.
